The unborn child is awa­re from the very begin­ning. ISPPM stu­dies the for­ma­ti­ve influen­ces that occur during con­cep­ti­on, pregnan­cy, birth, and the post­par­tum peri­od. The­se ear­ly pat­terns have a las­ting impact on the deve­lo­p­ment of phy­si­cal and men­tal health.

ISPPM is com­mit­ted to pro­mo­ting a deeper under­stan­ding of pre­na­tal life – both in Ger­ma­ny and inter­na­tio­nal­ly. Our aim is to pre­vent phy­si­cal and emo­tio­nal deve­lo­p­men­tal dis­or­ders through this awa­re­ness. That is why ISPPM sup­ports methods – some of which are still litt­le known in Ger­ma­ny – that focus on the pre­na­tal expe­ri­en­ces of human life. A ran­ge of the­ra­peu­tic approa­ches is now available that help child­ren, ado­le­s­cents, and adults recon­nect with their own pre­na­tal memo­ri

To share this know­ledge, ISPPM mem­bers vol­un­teer their time and exper­ti­se. The mis­si­on of ISPPM is to inform par­ents, pro­fes­sio­nals, and the media through lite­ra­tu­re, semi­nars, work­shops, con­fe­ren­ces, and con­gres­ses. The neces­sa­ry cos­ts are cover­ed by mem­ber­ship fees and dona­ti­ons.
