ISPPM Switzerland Anniversary Conference 2028
ISPPM Switzerland invites you to its anniversary conference. The topic will be: “Too early – and yet in life. Premature birth: From survival to life”.
Preterm infants begin life under exceptional circumstances. Thanks to modern medicine, more and more of these children survive today—yet their discharge from the hospital marks the beginning of an often underestimated phase: the transition into life.
How can this transition from medically secured survival toward development, relationship, and self-regulation in everyday life succeed? What traces do the early experiences of separation, intensive care, and immature regulation leave behind in the further course of life?
The congress deliberately focuses on the period following hospitalization. The central themes are early developmental processes, the formation of the relationship between child and parents, and the question of how professionals can provide sustainable support for families during this sensitive phase.
Interdisciplinary perspectives from medicine, psychology, and body therapy combine current knowledge with practical experience. The goal is to develop a deeper understanding of the long-term impacts of preterm birth and to highlight ways in which a fragile beginning can evolve into a resilient life.
An international conference is planned; simultaneous German-English interpretation is intended.
